Social and Recreation Supports
We can support you if you require support to achieve independence and participate in community activities. Supports provided include;
- Community access (e.g., visiting friends or family, movies, shopping, religious activities, and learning life skills)
- Recreation activities (e.g., swimming, sporting activities, physical activities, museums, sporting events, meditation/ yoga, and outdoor games/ activities)
- Emotional and peer support for community access
- Support for the development of personal skills through hobbies and interests
- Support for acquiring and maintaining life skills, such as shopping, using public transport and paying for bills.
- Advocating and collaborating with your healthcare professionals to ensure that all care needs meet the highest possible standards.
- Supports to maintain and sustain employment or apprenticeship
- Assistance to find employment disability support services that can assist with job seeking
- Supports to sustain volunteer or work in your own business
- Support and assistance to study at TAFE or university.
